Glossary of Terms

Jack Rafter - Infill rafter installed to continue the roof line - fixed from wall plate to hip board in hip end contraction. Jig - Fixture that holds the truss in position until rigidly fastened with connectors. Joint - See Panel Point. Joist - Horizontal roof or floor framing member.
